History
The Pakistan Human Resource Network (PHRN) has its roots in a visionary collaboration between the Asia Foundation and MDF Foundation, aimed at enhancing human resource capabilities and fostering sustainable development in Pakistan. In its early stages, PHRN operated in partnership with SHED (Society of Humanitarian Empowerment for Development Pakistan) and the Tanveer Malik Interagency Humanitarian Coordination Network, laying the groundwork for its impactful journey. Over time, PHRN emerged as an independent NGO entity, separate from its founding partners, marking a significant milestone in its evolution. Concurrently, a transformative merger took place as SHED seamlessly integrated into PHRN, pooling resources and expertise to amplify their collective impact. This merger symbolized a unified commitment to advancing the field of human resources and catalyzing positive change across Pakistan. PHRN’s history is characterized by successful project implementations spanning over 25 cities, made possible through strategic partnerships with diverse donors, including local and international organizations, governmental bodies, and corporate entities. With each endeavor, PHRN remained steadfast in its dedication to social and economic advancement, leveraging innovation and collaboration to drive progress. As PHRN continues its journey with the combined strengths of its founding partners and the SHED merger, it remains guided by its rich history and unwavering commitment to empowering individuals and communities throughout Pakistan.
